moving to merida, mexico?
I have a BS in Communications, am American, somewhat fluent in Spanish and am married to a Mexican resident from Puebla. I am also a certified fitness instructor/Pilates and have worked in the corporate world. We would like to move to Merida, Mexico. What are my chances in finding a job and/or well paying job? I would love to teach Pilates there but am open to the corporate or tourist industry.

Listen, if you know Spanish you have more chances of getting a job obviously but let me tell you that I've had foreign friends with no Spanish who have gotten jobs anyway. There are many call centers looking for English speakers. Also, there are some Real Estate agents such this http://www.mexonline.com/casasdeluz.htm who hire English speakers. This is one of the ways of getting a better pay as the Yucatan has the lowest paying jobs from the whole country!
Now, there are tons of gyms where you could be an instructor, in fact one of my best friends does exactly that. Good pay? depends on where you work. Try the largest gyms and clubs such as Exersite, Club Campestre, Club Libanese, Yucatan Country Club, La Ceiba, etc.
